York’s magnificent Bonding Warehouse has been equipped with a complete range of life-safety equipment by ESL.
Built in the 19th Century, the riverside Grade II listed building operated as a pub, restaurant and music venue until 14 years ago when it was closed by flooding from the River Ouse. Treasured by many in the local community, the building was left derelict after the flood.
ESL’s services were called on as part of a major refurbishment project at the warehouse and, being aware of the history of the premises, they were even more determined to provide the best life safety system available. Since accepting the project, the building has been transformed into four luxurious apartments, office suites and a digital media centre with exhibition space.
The landmark building is now protected by one of ESL’s analogue addressable fire alarm panels linked to a series of detection devices. Due to such high standards in designing and commissioning, as well as a team of qualified professionals installing the fire system, the community and the owners know the building is in great hands!
